Could Your Cancer Be Caused by Artificial Sweeteners?

Thomas King asked:

Just recently, I discovered the new artificial sweetener stevia. However, it was not until I found out about my mother’s ****** cancer diagnosis that I started looking around and trouble shooting to find what could have caused it. My mother loves artificial sweeteners. i wander around when I visit her picking up the little yellow, pink, and blue packets off her counters. Yes, my pet peeve. Anyway, she uses them so much so that i think it is one of the big reasons that she got the cancer to begin with. I never paid any mind to the earnings and the media about how aspartame, sucralose, and saccharin could very well be carcinogens and have adverse health reactions, however I wish I had (hence, the purpose of this article.)

I feel the need to get the word out, and have someone pay attention- that artificial sweeteners are carcinogenic and in study after study they are finding more and more reasons why an individual should avoid them at all costs. Here are some reasons that you should avoid the above mentioned synthetic sweeteners:

Carcinogenic- Anything that is considered carcinogenic should be avoided, and of course man-made sugar and synthetic sugars that contain chemicals are unsafe as common sense would advise. Most tests that have been performed on lab animals have come back with rats and mice experiencing pancreatic cancer, kidney cancers, bladder cancer, tumors, and all sorts of other cancers. The more you consume these sweeteners, the greater your chances of getting cancer from them. Neurological problems- Other studies performed on artificial sweeteners have concluded emphasized amounts of neurological problems such as increase of seizures, dementia depression, mood swings, and Alzheimer’s disease. In addition these substitutes can cause increased joint pain, headaches, and dizziness. Digestive problems- Many of these synthetic sugars are linked as culprits to digestive disorders such as Crohn’s disease, frequent irregularity, diarrhea, gas, and bloating. If you consume these agents often, and suffer from these symptoms, you may consider where it is being derived from. Allergic reactions- It is sometimes difficult to track down what is causing allergies, however aspartame and sucralose have been associated with having many side effects of allergic reactions such as hives, itchy eyes, skin rash, nausea, headaches, bowel problems, heart palpitations, runny nose, wheezing, cough, anxiety, mood swings, and of course once again-cancer.

So with these side effects, what is a diabetic or someone who is on a diet supposed to do as an alternative? Well, now that stevia is FDA approved and available readily on the market, an individual can choose stevia as a healthy option as it has not been studied and linked to any adverse effects yet, and in addition it contains no calories, does not affect blood sugar, and is safe for anyone to use. I sure wish I had gotten an education in artificial sweeteners so that I could have helped my mother before she got ****** cancer, however one of the lucky ones- she is in remission and recovering very well.
